Recovering From Surgery... All Healthy 3 Years Later!

It's hard to believe that it has been only 4 years ago that Amy and I were working to find a solution to Graham's heart defect. After many hours of scouring numerous cardiology journals, countless visits to hospitals and physicians, we decided on a surgical procedure that if successful would allow Graham to get his life back as he knew it as a child, with no restrictions with regard to physical activity or worse, fear of a cardiac event.

In March of 2006 Graham underwent open heart surgery to repair what is known as an anomalous right coronary artery. It's hard to believe but the picture on the left is Graham and his surgeon Dr. Jan Quaegebeur on the 2nd day after his surgery already sitting up in a chair!

Even more miraculous and wonderful is the picture on the right taken this past summer with Graham and his brothers. Today he is approaching 6' 2", made his high school freshman basketball team and was back on our town swim team. We are truly blessed that there are scientists and physicians getting funding from organizations like the American Heart Association to develop life saving medicines and surgical techniques.

Amy and I hope you can find it in your heart to help us achieve our goal of fund raising for the American Heart Association.

Sincerely
Amy and Terry
